PRINT ARTWORK SPECIFICATIONS

Please feel free to contact us with any questions about how to create and save the final artwork files for your project.

Here are a few tips to keep in mind:

-For optimal output quality on vehicle wraps and other large scale graphics, the artwork should be at least 75-100 dpi (resolution) at full size. You may start to see pixelazation of rasterized type under 75 dpi and noticible image degredation anywhere from 50-25 dpi depending on quality of scan or digital image.

So if the image is scaled at 1/12, the dpi should be 1200 ideal to 600 if at all possible. So when we scale the file up to full size the final dpi will be 50-100.

-If the graphics are all vector, then of course resolution doesn't matter, and the file can be sent at full size or scaled down proportionally. A good scale to work at is 1"=1' when at full size. Any ratio is fine as long as it is in proportion. Please specify the working scale of your document.

-When sending the final artwork it is a good idea to verify output process. Photographs output to the Lambda are best output in RGB, however Pantone matching may be more accurate sent in CMYK. For output other than Lambda please make the color mode CMYK.

-Outline all fonts and embed all images.

-Please include artwork in the native file format (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop). You may also send: ".ai", ".eps", ".pdf", "psd", or ".tif" (if it is a non vector graphic).

Again, feel free to contact us if you have any questions as there may be some exceptions and other set up instructions when printing to different materials or working in different software. When you are done we can send you instructions to upload your art to our FTP site if it is to large to email.
